ORIGIN STORY
The ancestral home of the Crowleys is in West Cork, Ireland. There are surviving Crowley Castles in the vicinity of the town of Dunmanway. The name 'Crowley' originates from the Irish name O'Crowley, which was used by a clansman from Desmond who fought in King Brian Boru's army at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014 A.D. The O'Crowleys were reputed to be tough, hard-fighting men, and they played a significant role in the battle, breaking the back of the Danish resistance
